Responsibilities
- Assists in maximizing utilization of resources.
- Provides training, orientation, and education of department staff to assist in maintaining staff's competency and to meet changes of healthcare reimbursement.
- Assists with development and maintenance of a system to ensure timely and accurate registration and data collection.
- Responds to written and verbal inquiries or complaints from patients to ensure expedient and tactful resolutions.
- Performs other duties as required by Senior Management.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Excellent computer and keyboard skills with appropriate applications.
- Ability to solve problems and to communicate effectively.
- NIMS training within 3 months of hire.
- COAP training within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum of two (2) years hospital Patient Access, Business Services, or related experience.
- TruBridge and/or CPI experience preferred.
