Patient Access Manager

About the role

This position is incentive eligible. You will work onsite at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest, part of HCA Healthcare, supporting the patient access function of a 300+ bed facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Patient Access Director in daily operations of all patient access functions and serve as liaison between the Shared Service Center (SSC) and the facility.
• Integrate department services with hospital primary functions; develop/implement policies and procedures; assess and improve department performance; ensure orientation and continuing education of staff.
• Lead a team of 20+ patient registration team members; ensure quality assurance for all registration areas.
• Follow up on patient complaints.
• Handle HR functions: interview and hire patient access staff, prepare work schedules, counsel and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.
• Minimum of three years’ leadership experience in healthcare, hospitality, banking, event planning, retail or other relatable field.

Pay

Salary estimate: $59,446.40 – $89,190.40 per year (incentive eligible).
