About the role

We're seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Service Representative. Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth patient flow and providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests courteously via phone or in person
• Schedule appointments or complete check-in processes/admissions for patients
• Obtain and verify accurate patient identification and demographic data
• Perform point-of-service collections and face-to-face patient interactions
• Verify insurance using electronic methods, phone, or web applications
• Improve patient satisfaction through professional representation
• Support multiple functions across different patient and payer types

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
• Certification in Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM), Certification in Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA), or Certification as a Medical Assistant (or other medical specialty-based certification) preferred
• Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and information retrieval
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and software packages specific to the role
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle high-stress situations
• Organizational and time management skills
• Excellent decision-making and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments

• Associate’s degree preferred
