Patient Access Coordinator

The Patient Care segment operates the largest network of O&P patient care clinics, while the Products & Services segment distributes O&P devices and provides rehabilitative solutions.
About the role
You will manage front office operations efficiently, ensuring a seamless experience for patients, staff, and referral sources. Key responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients, verifying and updating patient information, handling financial transactions, scheduling appointments, and supporting patients.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing information on wait times and addressing inquiries
- Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in
- Handle walk-in registrations
- Collect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance
- Cook up follow-up appointments, including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans
- Serve as a liaison for clinic services, offering information on patient experience programs, support groups, and other resources
- Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team to obtain necessary patient information
- Record maintenance, ensuring accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- At least one year of customer service, administrative, or related experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy
- Understanding of Alpha filing system
- Understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology
- Ability to use a computer, including Windows-based software and e-mail
- Ability to use all necessary office equipment

Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this role is $23.00- $27.42/hour + bonus + benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with State Law. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
