About the role

The Dimock Center seeks a caring, detail-oriented, and team-oriented professional committed to excellence. This role is essential to delivering patient-centered, coordinated, team-based care. You will perform front desk functions including appointment scheduling, patient registration, referrals, and telephone management in both English and Spanish, while providing outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients professionally in English and Spanish; answer and route phone calls courteously.
  • Schedule appointments and follow clinic-specific guidelines in ECW or PMG; confirm appointments within 24 hours.
  • Pre-register patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and process payments accurately.
  • Check in and check out patients; manage patient flow and assign patients for same-day or urgent care services.
  • Document cancellations, no-shows, and reschedules; follow up with patients to reschedule appointments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Prepare, review, and track encounter forms; ensure completion of necessary codes and provider signatures.
  • Maintain clinic cash funds, post payments, and ensure accurate collection of self-pay fees.
  • Assist with clerical tasks, inventory management, and upkeep of the patient waiting area.
  • Support onboarding of new Patient Access Coordinators and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Clinical setting; frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and handling required.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
  • Occasional evening shifts (11 AM - 7 PM) and Saturday shifts (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM).

Compensation

  • $22-$23 per hour.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • Associates degree preferred;
  • 2-3 years of experience in an ambulatory or clinical setting required.
