Responsibilities
- Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
- Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information.
- Receive and process physician orders while utilizing an overlay tool.
- Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls.
- Adhere to policies and deliver excellent customer service with compassion.
- Meet point-of-service goals as assigned.
- Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected.
- Conduct audits of accounts to ensure forms are completed accurately and timely; provide statistical data to leadership.
- Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, including inbound and outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and financial liability information.
- Collect point-of-service collections and past-due balances, including payment plan options.
- Explain general consent for treatment forms, obtain necessary signatures, and distribute patient education documents (e.g., Important Message from Medicare, Important Message from Tricare, Observation Forms, MOON form, Consent forms).
- Review eligibility responses in the insurance verification system and enter benefit data to support POS collections and billing processes.
- Accurately screen medical necessity using ABN software; distribute ABNs as appropriate and document other designated forms and pamphlets.
Requirements
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation, including AI, to improve processes and patient/client experiences.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company paid).

Pay
This position pays between $17.00 or higher based on experience.
