About the role

Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data. Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments. Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Work Experience: 1 year exp in one of the following: Required Healthcare Revenue Cycle Required or Clinical role Required or Related clerical accounting/finance/retail/customer service Required 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience Preferred
• Prior Epic experience Preferred
• Licenses and Certifications: None Required Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred
