Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically represents Busch Gardens by displaying a positive attitude and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
• Initiate interactions with guests to proactively provide animal and park information
• Conduct informative and engaging animal presentations on microphone at animal habitats and interpret veterinary procedures in real-time
• Organize, inventory, and prepare materials for educational experiences
• Facilitate tours of the Animal Care Center and promote educational tour experiences
• Ensures safety of guests at animal exhibits and behind the scenes
• Maintain professional quality standards with guest interactions in times of high stress
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors, and our Guests
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Driver's License
• Working towards a degree or have a degree in Education, Animal Science, Psychology, Zoology or related field preferred but not necessary
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
• Ability to provide outstanding guest service
• Ability to work up to 28 hours a week
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekday and weekend shifts, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment: high heat, humidity, cold, etc.
• Able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• This position requires walking, standing, bending, and overhead reaching
• Ability to work individually and/or within a team setting
• Ability to practice proper time management when given multiple tasks
• Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• Basic computer knowledge
• Experience working at a veterinary facility is preferred but not required
• Prior guest/customer service experience preferred
