About the role

Join a collaborative academic team of specialized surgical pathologists handling approximately 35,000 cases annually. This role involves diagnosing a high volume of surgical specimens, contributing to clinical and translational research, and participating in multidisciplinary tumor boards.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate diagnostic interpretations of surgical specimens
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards
• Contribute to clinical and translational research efforts
• Engage in scholarly activities and collaborate with investigators at a cancer center
• Participate in academic activities within a comprehensive healthcare and educational setting

Requirements

• MD or equivalent
• AP or AP/CP Board-certified or Board-eligible
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
• Strong diagnostic, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Solid work ethic
• Academic accomplishments or potential are preferred
