Pathologist (On-Site)

About the role

Morlen Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pathologist to join a highly collaborative pathology team in the Portland, OR metropolitan area. The physician will join a busy, fast‑paced practice alongside 17 pathologists, 6 pathology assistants, and 4 PhDs serving a large and diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Surgical pathology and cytology sign‑out
• Frozen section interpretation
• Rapid on‑site cytology evaluation
• Call coverage
• Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards
• Shared laboratory leadership and administrative responsibilities
• Opportunities for CLIA directorship
• Providing pathology services across two hospitals and a regional laboratory
• Access to a physician‑friendly Epic EMR with integrated clinical tools and support

Requirements

• AP/CP Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Strong diagnostic skills in general surgical pathology
• Ability to provide pathology services across two hospitals and a regional laboratory
• Commitment to maintaining current knowledge in surgical pathology and applicable molecular diagnostic techniques
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team‑based practice

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).

• Ability to maintain current knowledge of molecular diagnostics
