PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join our team supporting a leading regional medical center in Jackson, Mississippi. This is a full-time, hospital-based position offering a rewarding mix of general surgical pathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology duties.

About the Role

  • High-volume regional hospital environment with diverse case types
  • No autopsy requirement

About the Practice

  • Large, CAP-accredited laboratory supporting a 500+ bed hospital
  • Broad case mix includes GI, GYN, GU, breast, and non-gyn cytology
  • Clinical pathology oversight includes blood bank, chemistry, hematology
  • Active engagement with referring clinicians and hospital leadership
  • Participation in quality initiatives and continuous improvement encouraged

Responsibilities

  • Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytopathology cases
  • Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations
  • Provide clinical pathology oversight (including transfusion medicine, chemistry, hematology)
  • Participate in tumor boards and clinical discussions
  • Maintain compliance with CAP and hospital standards
