PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join our team supporting a leading regional medical center in Jackson, Mississippi. This is a full-time, hospital-based position offering a rewarding mix of general surgical pathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology duties.
About the Role
- High-volume regional hospital environment with diverse case types
- No autopsy requirement

About the Practice
- Large, CAP-accredited laboratory supporting a 500+ bed hospital
- Broad case mix includes GI, GYN, GU, breast, and non-gyn cytology
- Clinical pathology oversight includes blood bank, chemistry, hematology
- Active engagement with referring clinicians and hospital leadership
- Participation in quality initiatives and continuous improvement encouraged
Responsibilities
- Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytopathology cases
- Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations
- Provide clinical pathology oversight (including transfusion medicine, chemistry, hematology)
- Participate in tumor boards and clinical discussions
- Maintain compliance with CAP and hospital standards
