About the role
This is a full-time, on-site position in Statesboro, GA (Monday-Friday).
Responsibilities
- Sign-out of general surgical pathology cases ± cytology cases.
- (Cytology is optional based on training and preference)
- Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations (infrequent)
- Participate in ROSE procedures (no requirement to sign out cytology)
- Clinical pathology oversight as needed
- Participate in tumor boards once per month, and interdisciplinary discussions
- Lead or support laboratory quality and operational initiatives
Requirements
Cytopathology training is a plus but not required. Candidates based in the Savannah, Pooler, Hinesville, and Augusta areas are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgical Pathologist
- Experience in general surgical pathology preferred
Skills
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently with strong remote support
