Pathologist

About the role

This is a full-time, on-site position in Statesboro, GA (Monday-Friday).

Responsibilities

• Sign-out of general surgical pathology cases ± cytology cases.
• (Cytology is optional based on training and preference)
• Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations (infrequent)
• Participate in ROSE procedures (no requirement to sign out cytology)
• Clinical pathology oversight as needed
• Participate in tumor boards once per month, and interdisciplinary discussions
• Lead or support laboratory quality and operational initiatives

Requirements

Cytopathology training is a plus but not required. Candidates based in the Savannah, Pooler, Hinesville, and Augusta areas are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgical Pathologist
• Experience in general surgical pathology preferred

Skills

• Strong clinical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently with strong remote support
