Patent Litigation Associate

About the role

The offices of McGuireWoods seek a Junior or Mid-Level Associate for the Patent Litigation Team. McGuireWoods' intellectual property lawyers help clients develop, protect and leverage commercially valuable ideas and information, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and other creative assets to advance their business goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, sophisticated patent litigation solutions — whether offensively or defensively in competitor v. competitor matters, or in the defense of lawsuits brought by non-practicing entities.
• Navigate complex patent litigation cases successfully and cost-effectively.
• Represent clients from virtually every sector of the global economy, including telecommunications providers, computer software and hardware providers, financial institutions, and manufacturers.

Requirements

• 2 - 7 years patent litigation experience.
• Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering degree.
• Excellent academic credentials required.

Pay

$235,000 - $410,000

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have 2 - 7 years patent litigation experience. Candidate must have Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering degree. Excellent academic credentials required.

Skills

Advanced degrees in engineering and the sciences, quick learning ability, and strong communication skills are preferred.
