Who You Are
- 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting patent docketing functions
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate, preferred
- Comfortable operating in a detail-driven, time-sensitive environment
- Proficient in Outlook and Excel
What You'll Do
- Monitor and intake correspondence issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and translate it into actionable docket entries
- Capture and route updates received from international patent agents to the appropriate legal professionals and support teams
- Maintain and update patent prosecution data within the docketing platform to ensure time-sensitive actions are properly tracked
- Coordinate recurring portfolio reviews to confirm records are current and compliant
- Generate and circulate internal and client-facing reports related to patent assets and upcoming obligations
- Prepare and transmit required docket data to external annuity service providers to support ongoing patent maintenance
- Contribute to additional operational needs that support the broader patent administration function

- Statutory deadlines are consistently identified, recorded, and communicated well in advance
- Patent records accurately reflect both domestic and foreign prosecution activity
- Attorneys and staff receive clear, timely information needed to take action
- Portfolio and docket reports are reliable, well-organized, and easy to interpret
Pay
$65,000 – 75,000 annually, based on experience
