Patent Associate

Amster Rothstein & Ebenstein LLP is seeking a Patent Associate with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. Primary Responsibilities The successful candidate will work on a broad range of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, litigation, Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings, and patent opinion work. Responsibilities will include drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, analyzing inventions and prior art, responding to Office Actions, supporting patent litigation and PTAB matters, assisting with infringement, validity, freedom-to-operate, and patentability opinions, and working closely with inventors and clients to develop, protect, and enforce their intellectual property rights. Qualifications 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience Experience with patent litigation, PTAB proceedings, patent opinions, or related contested intellectual property matters Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field J.D. from an accredited law school Admission to a state bar Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office preferred Excellent academic credentials Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively Since 1953, Amster Rothstein & Ebenstein LLP has focused exclusively on representing clients in all aspects of intellectual property law, both domestically and internationally. Compensation for this position ranges from $180,000 to $225,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
