Patent Agent – Software Technologies (Atlanta, GA / Other)
Kilpatrick’s Electronics & Software Team is seeking a full-time USPTO-registered Patent Agent experienced in preparing and prosecuting software-related applications.
About the role
Applicants with at least 3+ years of experience in patent prosecution are preferred, with aptitude for portfolio development and client counseling a plus. The role involves preparing and prosecuting patent applications, with a focus on software technologies such as cloud, security encryption, AI, bioinformatics, mobile applications, databases, and networking.
Requirements
- USPTO Registration Number
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in patent prosecution
- Education or work experience related to software technologies (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented
Transcripts and patent prosecution writing samples will be requested.
