Job Summary

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, is seeking a full-time Patent Agent/Patent Associate in its Austin, TX office. The position is within the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Job Requirements

• Focused experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, particularly in the computer arts (e.g., software, AI/ML/LLMs, FinTech, web applications, telecommunications, integrated circuits, etc.)
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• A degree or advanced degree in computer engineering or related fields preferred, with electrical engineering or other relevant experience considered
• Experience drafting complex software patent applications
• Excellent academic credentials
• Comfortable working directly with clients
• Strong writing and analytical skills

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of focused experience in patent prosecution and drafting
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Advanced degree in computer engineering or related fields preferred
