Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in accordance with U.S. and foreign patent laws and regulations.
• Assist with patentability searches and provide opinions on patentability and freedom-to-operate matters.
• Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and capture new inventions.
• Provide intellectual property support for commercial contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, such as engineering or computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3-5 years of related experience.
• Prefer experience as a Patent Agent, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
• Strong understanding of U.S. and foreign patent laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with IP terms.
• Contract review experience is a plus.

Pay

The starting salary range for this role is between $118,000 and $155,400 annually, depending on geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus under the Company’s applicable plan and are not eligible for overtime.
