Responsibilities
- Draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications
- Conduct searches of scientific literature, patents, and patent applications
- Analyze inventions and compare them with prior art to identify key differentiators
- Evaluate scientific data and provide technical insight
- Draft responses to USPTO and international office actions
- Conduct freedom-to-operate and clearance studies
- Prepare clear and concise explanations of scientific and patent concepts
- Collaborate with inventors, scientists, engineers, and attorneys
- Support global IP strategy and portfolio development
- Participate in team-based review processes and provide constructive feedback
Requirements
- Work onsite approximately 60% of the time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
- Ability to communicate scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical skills and scientific reasoning
- High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
- Able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Able to collaborate well in team environments
Pay
$120,000 – $220,000 (depending on experience)
