Patent Agent
Responsibilities
- Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications
- Draft responses to USPTO office actions
- Conduct patentability, prior art, freedom-to-operate, and patent landscape analyses
- Support strategic portfolio management
- Collaborate directly with clients and inventors to develop intellectual property strategies aligned with business objectives
- Coordinate with foreign counsel on international prosecution matters
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related life sciences discipline
- Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office
- A minimum of five years of patent prosecution experience in the therapeutics space
- Experience with patent portfolio management, client counseling, and freedom-to-operate analyses is preferred

Benefits
Competitive compensation package with an anticipated salary range of approximately $150,000 to $200,000+, depending on experience and qualifications. Performance-based incentive compensation brings the total compensation range to $180,000-$240,000+ annually.
