Summary/Objective
The Patch Sewer is responsible for stitching and sewing leather details into create Chrome Hearts’ apparel.
Essential Functions
- Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting materials
- Prepare machine by changing needles and thread, securing attachments
- Adjust machine performance on material by observing machine operation; detecting malfunctions; adjusting settings
- Maintain quality by inspecting finished product
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs
- Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles
- Sew using a single needle sewing machine
- Work within set time constraints to complete sewing tasks
- Maintain a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive routine
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow safety protocols
- Contribute to the teams’ efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
- At least one-year experience in single needle machine operation (manufacturing) preferred
- Previous experience with high end luxury clothing preferred
- Familiarity with sewing machine set up and fabric sewing
- Candidates are expected to learn all responsibilities in an adequate time frame
- Must be able to work well with others and have excellent communication skills
- Must possess basic measuring skills
- Ability to sew according to design specifications sheets
- Ability to handle a physical workload
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability
- Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse and office environment. This role routinely uses a single needle sewing machine.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time, some walking
- Regularly required to talk and/or hear
- Repeats much of the physical motions throughout the shift that may include use of their feet, legs, arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Requires a high degree of manual dexterity and close visual attention
- Must be able to carry and/or lift up to 25 lbs if needed
