About the role

Chouette brings the finest of French cuisine to Columbus, specializing in baked goods and desserts. Pastry cooks are the scientists of the kitchen, responsible for the production and presentation of breads, cakes, and pastries, and other delectable items. They enjoy being part of a team dynamic and are adept at following directions and communicating with the chef team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
• Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
• Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
• Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment when needed within budget.
• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing a workstation.

Requirements

Prior experience as a Pastry Cook highly preferred. Innovative and creative personality. A passion for all things pastry and confectionary.
