About the Role
The Culinary Artisan plays an integral role in curating an unforgettable dining experience at The Lodge at Primland. This position involves working across all kitchen stations as needed, assisting the chef with specialty dinners and functions, and preparing a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts with precision and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Work all positions and work independently in the kitchen as needed based on business demands.
- Assist the chef with specialty dinners and functions with minimal supervision.
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts, following specific recipes and presentation standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients to create doughs, batters, and fillings for various pastries and baked goods.
- Decorate and finish pastries and desserts with glazes, icings, and garnishes, ensuring an attractive presentation.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures, conducting quality checks to ensure each item meets taste and appearance standards.
Requirements
- Formal training or education in culinary arts, with a focus on pastry and baking techniques, preferred.
- One year of Pastry Cook experience.
- Proficient in various baking methods, including dough preparation, pastry shaping, and decorating techniques.
- Strong focus on precision and detail to ensure consistency and high-quality presentation of pastries and desserts.
Pay
$16 - $18 per hour, dependent on experience.
