Pastor

Edon Baptist Church, located in Stringer, Mississippi, is searching for a full-time or bi-vocational pastor to lead our congregation. Stringer is in Jasper County, within the Stringer Attendance Center School District, about an hour’s drive from Hattiesburg or Meridian. We are a small, Southern Baptist church averaging 60-85 attendees during Sunday morning worship, with active Sunday School, small groups, Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer services, and separate children and youth meetings. The church provides a furnished 3-bedroom, 2-bath parsonage next door.

About the Role

We seek a man who meets the biblical criteria outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and 1 Peter 5:1-4—a compassionate leader to engage in fellowship, worship, witnessing, education, ministry, and scriptural application. The pastor will encourage and guide the church council and volunteers to fulfill God’s will for Edon and our surrounding community.
