Key Responsibilities

• Must be able to prepare and deliver sermons that are both Biblically sound and well organized.
• Actively engaged in establishing and maintaining a sound Sunday School and Bible Study.
• Lead Deacon ordinances and ministerial events, including monthly communions, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and baby dedications.
• Maintain a lifestyle and reputation of high moral integrity and ethical standards.
• In partnership with the Official Board, ensure that the By-Laws are consistently adhered to.
• Develop an outreach program that engages the community, youth, and parents.
• Ensure that relevant, high-quality training in discipleship and leadership skills is made available to ministerial staff, designated ministry leads and office staff.
• Partner with and lead efforts in developing ministry leaders and providing wise counsel to members.

Desired Qualifications Include

• Biblical and spiritual character as outlined in Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1: 5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-3
• Licensed and ordained minister in the Baptist Faith-REQUIRED
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Bible
• A preacher of the Gospel with five years of pastoral experience
• A visionary with sound judgment and discernment
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University, Master’s Degree of Divinity, and Seminary training (preferred)
• Devoted to teaching of the Word of God
• Focused on establishing the church of tomorrow by implementing outreach to all generations
• Clearly and persuasively communicate in both written and oral formats
• Exhibit computer proficiency and able to navigate Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective administration and leadership skills
• Demonstrate financial awareness and responsibility
• Devoted to continuing education and development
• Possess strong integrity exemplary of a spiritual leader of the church
