Pasteurizer Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Obtains product quantity and variety to be pasteurized from blending leader.
• Ensures that all controls of sanitation are met prior to use of equipment.
• Maintains temperature and pressure of the equipment and juice. Notifies blending lead and QA if there is a deviation.
• Secures all necessary connections to holding tank.
• Transfers juice to bottling when pasteurizer has reached the desired temperature.
• Cleans bottling transfer lines, holding tanks, and receiving lines using the CIP system.
• Communicates with bottling team to determine accurate quantities are delivered.
• Completes paperwork recording number of gallons pasteurized, temperatures, time, etc.
• Cleans or CIP pasteurizer according to specification.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 - 5 years of experience with pasteurization.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructional details and related information.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Manufacturing software; and general email writing and online research skills.
