Passenger Service Agent
About the role
The Customer Service Agent will be responsible for various tasks including check-in, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and assisting passengers with issues in the airport. This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.
Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and any other passenger issues in the airport.
- Be enthusiastic and maintain a positive attitude while offering assistance.
- Host self-service kiosks and verify passengers' documents prior to boarding aircraft.
- Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing tags.
- Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).
- Make announcements, check baggage, and assign seats in the gate area.
Requirements
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Computer skills are required as you will be using computer-based systems to perform some of your primary job duties.
- Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality, able to remain calm under pressure.
- Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.
Qualifications
Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English, excellent communication skills. Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality, able to remain calm under pressure. Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.
