About the role

Acentra Health is seeking a PASRR Clinical Evaluator - PRN to join our dynamic team. This role is PRN (as needed) with a flexible schedule, offering a mix of telehealth and in-person assessments in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Complete accurate PASRR Level II assessments by reviewing relevant records and gathering information from collateral sources.
  • Evaluate physical, behavioral, and psychological functioning and make informed, evidence-based level-of-care recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide clinical recommendations based on medical records.
  • Interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to support the assessment and review process.
  • Leverage technology and software platforms to manage and track assessment activities.
  • Determine a clinical diagnosis and assess psychological, emotional, behavioral, and physical functioning.
  • Analyze data and adhere to corporate policies, including HIPAA and privacy rules.

Qualifications

  • Active unrestricted California licensure in healthcare or related fields such as LPCC, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, NP, or PMHNP.
  • Relevant degree from an accredited college or university, or a combination of education and experience totaling 6 years.
  • At least 3 years of experience in assessing and diagnosing individuals with mental or psychiatric disorders, including complex differential diagnoses.
  • Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, or related conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong clinical judgment, evidence-based assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in medical record abstraction and review.
  • Knowledge of Federal Regulation 42 CFR, Chapter 483.
  • Understanding of psychiatric disorders and standards of practice related to level of care determinations.
  • Experience with the geriatric population.
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
