Party Host - Youth Department
About the role
The Youth Department Party Host is responsible for organizing and executing birthday parties at Genesis Health Clubs. This role involves managing multiple parties throughout the month, ensuring a high-energy and engaging experience for the participants.
Responsibilities
- Work a minimum of 4 parties per month and be “on-call” for an additional 4 party days per month.
- Facilitate a high energy party experience and enthusiastically serve each party participant.
- Competent with opening and closing procedures.
- Perform Zone Management functions and ensure your Zone is Brand compliant.
- Work in conjunction with the Camp Site Director to move your Team A.
- Ensure the safety and engagement of children during the party.
- Set up the party room, tables, chairs, balloons, and decorations at least 30 minutes before the party starts.
- Set up necessary equipment for the party activity.
- Lead 1 hour of games or specific activity instruction.
- Hand out balloons and parent-provided party goodie bags to each party participant.
- Collect the remaining party balance and complete the proper closeout procedures.
- Complete the tasks listed on the party clean-up checklist.
- Find coverage for vacation or sick days.
- Attend Team meetings and events and support fellow Team members.
- Develop strong relationships with members and Team members, and create an On-Brand, enjoyable and inviting atmosphere for both members and Team within your department.
Mental and Physical Requirements
- This position is compensated hourly and is part-time.
- A Youth Department Party Host Team member may instruct classes or otherwise work in a different department at Genesis Health Clubs provided they meet certain performance and approval criteria.
- The position requires a person to be physically fit and mentally alert, able to stand, walk, sit, lift, kneel, reach, handle, think, reason, and calculate, some of it constantly.
- The position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress, and all candidates must be prepared for and capable of adapting to such conditions.
- A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and displayed consistently in all dealings with members and/or fellow Team members.
Qualification Requirements
- Healthy and physically fit.
- Passionate about working with children.
- Literate in English and basic math.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of Customer Service.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Available to work evenings and weekends.
- Responsible for securing reliable transportation to and from work.
