Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of self and one direct report to support the surveying needs of heavy construction projects.
• Conducts all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs under the direction of the Survey Manager.
• Demonstrates experience in construction site/heavy civil layout.
• Manages a crew and fulfills schedule obligations.
• Participates in the in-house pre-construction planning procedure and development of the project schedule; meets with the owner or owner representative.
• Learns all details of the plans and specifications of the assigned project.
• Partners with project team supervision to prioritize tasks.
• Seeks opportunities to increase the value of the AAM survey function through value-adding activities.
• Coordinates with Operations on project needs for equipment and labor.
• Ensures customer satisfaction in all interactions with customers and inspectors.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required; additional construction-related coursework desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of survey experience in a heavy civil construction environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficiency in Terramodel, Trimble Business Center, and Trimble GPS is required.
