Position Summary: Sells parts to customers at the counter, over the telephone, or through the repair shops.
Responsibilities
- Assists customers in determining and selecting appropriate parts.
- Provides price quotes and other parts information.
- Informs customers of specials and companion part requirements, ensuring that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Assists technicians with the parts requisition process, ensuring that the Parts department receives a completed copy of the parts request or repair order.
- Ensures that all internal parts requests are billed on repair order.
- Represents Quality Truck Care Center in a professional manner, remaining friendly and courteous in all customer and coworker interactions.
- Pulls and fills parts orders from stock.
- Prepares orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up.
- Inspects cores received from customers.
- Tags for return to vendor.
- Issues customer credit upon receipt of credit from vendor.
Requirements
- Six to twelve months parts experience or training, heavy duty truck experience preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Wisconsin Drivers License / insurable
