Responsibilities
- Aid the parts manager in managing inventory daily
- Return unused "outside purchase parts" to vendors
- Prepare for annual parts inventory
- Take messages for counter staff and the parts manager when they are unavailable
- Quickly attend to and assist both internal and retail customers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Accurately obtain and provide the correct parts and accessories for technicians and retail guests in a timely manner
- Price parts and accessories using the appropriate sources and input the information into the correct documents and computer systems
- Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, striving to satisfy callers' inquiries
- Stock incoming inventory in designated locations
- Maintain the parts department in a clean and organized manner
- Provide customers with necessary information and encourage additional sales opportunities
- Create and manage merchandising displays to boost product sales
Qualifications
- Basic computer and office machine skills (copier, credit card machine, telephone)
- Automotive experience is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Passes a drug test
- Self-disciplined and motivated to exceed expectations
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds
- Able to perform tasks requiring stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and handling parts and equipment
- Able to work in a dusty environment with exposure to various chemical compounds and paints
