Parts Warehouse Attendant

Essential Function

• Pull stock orders for customers, technicians, and other stores
• Check, receive, and verify accuracy of part locations and quantities
• Receive merchandise and stock shelves
• Participate in physical inventory counts
• Ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Maintain a clean warehouse by sweeping and cleaning each day

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
• Understanding of inventory allocation and control
• Ability to verify shipments and reconcile discrepancies
• Proven ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills for working with internal departments and external customers
• Experience pulling, stocking, and organizing parts or merchandise preferred
• Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic computer data entry preferred
• Parts experience, especially in a warehouse, stockroom setting is preferred

Monday through Friday

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift 75 pounds from floor to chest
• Stand, walk, or sit
• Use hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel and reach with hands and arms with a full range of motion
• Endure prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting
• Process paperwork and utilize office equipment (including personal computer, phone, copiers, etc.)
• Normal sight or corrected vision is required to read documents and use standard computer terminals

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat
• Occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock and vibration
• Noise level is usually moderate to loud
