Job Summary
Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring parts are available to truck and trailer technicians for repairs. Manage inventory stock levels, perform audits, and submit orders to maintain an adequate supply of parts. Maintain information systems and process core and warranty returns according to Company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfill parts requests by technicians and ensure parts are properly charged to the unit under repair
- Observe all Company safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Mentor and train other shop personnel
- Ensure compliance of safety policies
- Maintain a clean, well-ordered work environment free of trash and hazards
- Retain and ship parts per the Company’s Warranty Retention and Core Management procedures
- Provide administrative support by copying and typing correspondence, maintaining records and filing
- Maintain JBHT information systems in regards to parts receipts, shipments, inventories, and usage
- Conduct Cycle Counts and periodic inventories as required
- Receive inbound shipments of parts and fuel to ensure proper quantity ordered and free of damage; stock inbound parts to proper storage location and update information systems

Shifts may vary based upon location and business needs
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent and up to a 12 to 18 months of direct experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
- Preferred Qualifications: Ability to multitask, Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, Basic deductive reasoning skills, Experience working in a fast-paced environment, Proficient active listening skills, Proficient organizational skills, Proficient time management skills, Self-motivation, Ability to lift above 50 lbs, Bending, Stooping, Pushing, Pulling, Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE), Ability to exercise discretion, Ability to make time-sensitive decisions
