Parts Specialist - Selby, SD

C & B Operations, operating 38 John Deere dealerships across six states, is seeking a Parts Specialist for its Selby, SD location. The role involves selling, receiving, and delivering parts and accessories while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is positive, customer‑focused, and ready to meet or exceed ongoing customer needs. Prior parts‑sales experience and knowledge of John Deere equipment are a plus. The position is in a fast‑paced environment with potential for outside‑sales development and includes participation in an on‑call rotation during seasonal hours.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and sells products and/or services on and off‑site to meet customer needs
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
• Verifies receipt of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
• Helps keep the parts department clean and orderly
• Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
• Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, reach, push, and pull as required
• Team‑oriented work style
• Forklift operation preferred
• Basic parts and machinery knowledge
• Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
