Parts Specialist I VDOT

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service
• Review, familiarize with and adhere to Product Group Catalog
• Review, familiarize with and adhere to Policy and Procedures Manual
• Review, familiarize with and adhere to MANCON’s SOPs and Safety Manual
• Meet and greet customers
• Review supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed
• Answer questions regarding availability of parts
• Ask appropriate questions to ensure correct parts are researched and provided
• Inform customers when requested parts are available
• Parts Pick up
• Drive vehicle to designated locations to purchase/pick up parts
• Provide company documentation to vendors as required
• Review all invoices at vendor location to ensure accuracy on pricing and quantities
• Return products to MANCON location in a timely fashion
• Data Entry
• Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system
• Assist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system
• Inventory Management
• Aid in performing weekly inventory cycle counts
• Aid in performing counts during Wall-to-Wall inventories at site
• Other
• Aid with other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with two years driving experience
• One year experience with auto parts or heavy-duty truck parts
• Twenty-four hour availability during emergency and/or critical operations
• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license
• Preferred qualifications include delivery driver experience, inventory or warehouse experience, one year computer experience, and ability to obtain and maintain P1 or P2 ASE certification

Qualifications

• Follow established guidelines for vehicle and equipment maintenance
• Provide 24-hour support during emergency and/or critical operations
• Absorb medium work exertion levels
• Perform tasks in various environments including storerooms, warehouses, and vehicles

Physical Requirements

• Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
• Exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently
• Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
• Sit, stand, stoop, walk, reach, and lift
• Work in uncontrolled temperatures, dirt, dust, and damp conditions
• Travel to sites in vehicles
