Parts Specialist - Glendive, MT

C & B Operations, with 38 John Deere dealerships across 6 states, is seeking a Parts Specialist for our Glendive, Montana location.

About the role

Our Parts Specialist is responsible for selling, receiving, and delivering parts and accessories in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and is ready to meet or exceed the ongoing needs of our customers. Prior parts sales experience and John Deere equipment knowledge is a plus. Outside sales development potential is available for the right individual. Will be expected to participate in the on-call rotation as needed during seasonal hours.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and sells products and/or services on and off-site to meet customer needs
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
• Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
• Assists in keeping the parts department clean and orderly
• Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
• Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions (e.g., sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic parts and machinery knowledge
• Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Forklift operation experience preferred
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check
