Parts Specialist

About the Role

This position involves processing quotes and orders for both internal and external customers, managing incoming shipments, maintaining warehouse organization, and handling shipping documentation. Responsibilities may change based on workload and dealership needs.

Responsibilities

• Process quotes and orders via phone, email, or in-person at the counter.
• Maintain organized and accessible call notes for quotes and orders.
• Receive and verify incoming materials from vendors, customers, or other warehouses against packing lists.
• Inspect shipments, reject damaged items, and report discrepancies.
• Store materials in designated areas and update inventory in the computer system.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and prepare back-order or stock put-away lists.
• Assemble and fill customer orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy.
• Prepare shipping documentation and verify order accuracy before shipment.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct cycle counts of stock materials accurately.
• Document, tag, and store incoming and outgoing warranty parts.
• Ship warranty parts to vendors and submit tracking information to the warranty administrator.

Requirements

• Solid reading skills to interpret orders and match items on shipping tickets.
• Basic math and reasoning skills.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• General understanding of warehouse operations and layout.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to work in a typical warehouse environment, including temperature variations.
• Position involves standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing for extended periods.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
