Parts Specialist

Responsibilities

• Purchase and source parts, supplies, and materials for heavy equipment used in soil stabilization operations.
• Order parts and materials in a timely manner to prevent equipment downtime.
• Interact with suppliers to ensure accurate and efficient purchasing.
• Track the status of all orders and follow up on delivery or delays.
• Review deliveries against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
• Resolve issues with non-delivered, under-delivered, over-delivered, or damaged goods.
• Maintain strong communication with vendors to ensure reliability and performance.
• Ensure all invoices are submitted to accounting for processing and payment.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and documentation.
• Aid in generating reports related to inventory, purchasing activity, and vendor performance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in purchasing, inventory control, or parts coordination preferred (heavy equipment or construction industry a plus).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills with vendors, mechanics, and team members.
• Proficiency in basic computer systems and inventory tracking software.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle parts and materials as needed.
• Ability to walk, bend, and perform general shop-related tasks.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to equipment and materials.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily within a heavy equipment shop environment with regular interaction with field personnel and vendors.
