Parts Specialist

About the role

The Parts Specialist oversees Warehouse Operations to ensure DEUTZ maintains an adequate supply of equipment and parts, driving increased sales and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and grow $2,000,000 in annual part sales.
• Maintain appropriate inventory stocking levels.
• Receive and process customer parts orders.
• Liaise with Operations Manager and technicians to order parts for engine and equipment repairs.
• Aid DEUTZ dealers with phone, internet, and email part orders.
• Aid walk-in customers with part sales needs.
• Quote Xchange engines to customers and dealers.
• Must be familiar with all phases of warehouse operations and retail parts selling.
• Daily housekeeping of warehouse/retail parts counter and service department parts counter.
• Place orders for Engine/Parts stock following SAP guidelines.
• Receive and stock freight in hard locations.
• Assemble and stock modification kits.
• Process receiving documents; prepare Bill of Lading / Airway Billing.
• Prepare required paperwork and computer entries within SAP guidelines.
• Pick parts/components from stock for production builds.
• Perform weekly inventory cycle counts.
• Perform annual parts inventory.
• Assist with emergency parts callouts as required by customers.

Qualifications

• High school education.
• Demonstrated Forklift experience.
• Strong knowledge of Diesel engines and their parts.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations.
• Valid driver’s license, insured by the company, and able to operate a company vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and internet skills.
• SAP experience or comparable ERP System.

Travel Requirements

Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 10% depending on business needs.

Physical Requirements

Manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment. Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures. No A/C. If in the office area, noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
