Parts Specialist
About the role
The Parts Specialist oversees Warehouse Operations to ensure DEUTZ maintains an adequate supply of equipment and parts, driving increased sales and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Sustain and grow $2,000,000 in annual part sales.
- Maintain appropriate inventory stocking levels.
- Receive and process customer parts orders.
- Liaise with Operations Manager and technicians to order parts for engine and equipment repairs.
- Aid DEUTZ dealers with phone, internet, and email part orders.
- Aid walk-in customers with part sales needs.
- Quote Xchange engines to customers and dealers.
- Must be familiar with all phases of warehouse operations and retail parts selling.
- Daily housekeeping of warehouse/retail parts counter and service department parts counter.
- Place orders for Engine/Parts stock following SAP guidelines.
- Receive and stock freight in hard locations.
- Assemble and stock modification kits.
- Process receiving documents; prepare Bill of Lading / Airway Billing.
- Prepare required paperwork and computer entries within SAP guidelines.
- Pick parts/components from stock for production builds.
- Perform weekly inventory cycle counts.
- Perform annual parts inventory.
- Assist with emergency parts callouts as required by customers.
Qualifications
- High school education.
- Demonstrated Forklift experience.
- Strong knowledge of Diesel engines and their parts.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations.
- Valid driver’s license, insured by the company, and able to operate a company vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and internet skills.
- SAP experience or comparable ERP System.

Travel Requirements
Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 10% depending on business needs.
Physical Requirements
Manufacturing assembly and warehouse environment. Subject to noise, dust, diesel fuel, oil, and extreme hot/cold temperatures. No A/C. If in the office area, noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
