Parts Shipping & Receiving Specialist - Part Time

About the role

The primary purpose of the Shipping and Receiving Specialist is to verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment by performing the essential job requirements to quality and productivity standards.

Pay

$17/hour

Schedule

Flexible scheduling with late afternoon/evening availability. Typical shifts are 3pm–8pm Monday through Friday, with flexible start and end times.

Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments
• Assist in shipping and receiving, unload trucks, check in merchandise, and match purchase orders to sales orders
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for parts, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated areas
• Assist in counting of physical inventory, movement of inventory, and organization of shipping and receiving area
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure proper productivity of the Parts department
• Willingness to work late nights when needed during winter/busy months

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate, cooperate, interpret, and communicate information
• Efficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge and ability to make decisions
• Understanding of proper packaging methods
