Parts Sales Specialist-Weekend
About the role
The Parts Sales Specialist at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in securing needed parts and supplies. This role also involves achieving monthly sales and gross profit forecasts, seeking and soliciting parts sales, and managing inventory levels.
Essential Functions
- Aid customers and technicians in obtaining necessary parts and supplies.
- Achieve monthly sales and gross profit targets.
- Solicit and close parts sales with customers, outside salespersons, and technicians.
- Fulfill parts requirements for repairs orders issued to the shops.
- Prepare invoices for over-the-counter sales and bill parts to repair orders.
- Maintain stock levels, receive, ship parts, and issue local purchase orders.
- Address customer needs and issues promptly and maintain a positive relationship with customers.
- Escalate customer issues to supervisor when necessary.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
- Enter lost sales into the inventory system to ensure proper stock levels.
- Follow safe work practices and procedures, use safety equipment when required, and report any damage to company equipment or property immediately to supervisor.
- Assist with inventory management activities as directed by supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- One year of automotive parts-related work experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests in a timely manner.
