About the role

The Parts Sales Specialist assists all customers and technicians in securing needed parts and supplies. They are accountable for achieving monthly sales and gross profit forecasts, and for seeking and soliciting parts sales. This role works with customers, outside salespersons, and technicians to fulfill parts requirements with general supervision.

Essential Functions

  • Prepares invoices for all over-the-counter sales and bills parts to repair orders issued to the shops.
  • Maintains stock levels, receives and ships parts, and issues local purchase orders.
  • Aids in maintaining a favorable relationship with customers by addressing their needs and issues promptly.
  • Escalates customer issues to supervisor when necessary.
  • Maintains a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
  • Enters all lost sales into the inventory system to ensure proper inventory items and levels are maintained.
  • Fulfills safety responsibilities, follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, and reports any damage to company equipment or property immediately to supervisor.
  • Assists with inventory management activities as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • One-year automotive parts-related work experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests in a timely manner.
