Parts Route Sales Driver - Nampa, ID

About the role

Gordon Truck Centers' Freightliner Northwest Route Sales Driver is responsible for providing excellent service to our customers by building strong customer relationships and efficient parts delivery fulfilment on a designated delivery route. This position focuses on the safe and efficient delivery of parts, while concentrating on positive customer engagement, issue resolution and growth.

Essential functions

• Efficient parts delivery to customers on a designated route utilizing a delivery vehicle
• Sales activities that build strong customer relationships on a designated route
• Field order processing
• Issue resolution
• Customer training
• Transitioning customer to Excelerator ordering
• Management of vendor inventory programs
• Growth
• Proficient use of tools and technology including dispatch systems, tablets, phones and our customer relationship management tool
• Other duties as assigned such as assisting with the Parts Front Counter, shipping, receiving, general warehouse work

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license, be insurable and have a clean driving record
• Ability to drive Sprinter vans, pick-ups
• Ability to type and use computer tablet and/or keyboard, send and receive calls and data via a smartphone

Physical demands

• Requires repetitive bending, frequent lifting up to or in excess of 75 lbs., sitting, standing, reaching, crawling, stretching
• Must be able to use both hands and feet to operate vehicles

Working conditions

• Mostly indoor and outdoor in seasonal weather conditions
• Some noise while working around operation departments
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
• Use of company-provided personal protective equipment may be required

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8AM to 5PM
