Parts Person, AM, Industrial Maintenance - Deerfield

Description

• Ordering parts/maintenance materials in emergencies or as needed
• Receiving items/parts into the parts room
• Releasing/issuing items/parts and tools from the parts room
• Maintaining the items/parts inventory in the parts room
• Performing administrative tasks related to parts room inventory management
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 20 years old
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before start date)
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• Capable of obtaining certification and operating powered industrial equipment
• Ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds
• Successfully complete specified tests before start date
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance-management systems
• Basic math and reading skills
• Understanding of schematics, technical, and parts manuals
• Ability to work independently and multi-task

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Industrial Maintenance Associate
• Associate’s degree in Business
• 3 years of prior experience in an industrial parts room environment or inventory related experience
• Knowledge of the operation of a parts room in an industrial setting
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistical data analysis
