Parts Outside Sales Associate

About the role

Since 1938, Hunter Truck has been a family-owned Peterbilt dealership serving Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New Jersey, and New York. As a Parts Outside Sales Associate, you'll play a key role in driving growth in your assigned territory by building strong customer relationships, managing orders, and providing top-tier service.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers regularly and prospect for new accounts.
• Process parts orders, advise on stock or emergency availability, and ensure internal teams are informed.
• Obtain Parts Manager approval for special pricing or unique customer requests.
• Follow up on orders to ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate with Service and Truck Sales departments.
• Maintain accurate customer records, update profiles, and track warranties and credits.
• Attend training seminars as required and act as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
• Maintain your vehicle, ensuring it is safe, clean, and well-maintained, and report maintenance needs.
• Contribute at least 15% of sales from your territory monthly and help manage deliveries.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain a professional appearance.
• Adhere to and promote all health and safety policies.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 1–2 years of related experience.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Certifications & Licenses: Valid driver’s license required and must meet company insurability standards. ASE certification and Medium/Heavy Truck Parts Specialist certification preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent walking and standing; occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
