Business DevelopmentFull-time

At RWC Group, our Parts Department plays a critical role in keeping our customers—and their businesses—on the road. We’re looking for an experienced Parts Manager who can lead a great team, optimize inventory, grow sales, and run a profitable, customer-focused operation. This is an opportunity for a strong leader who understands that a successful Parts Department is about more than having parts on the shelf—it’s about people, performance, customer relationships, and business results.

About the role

When the right parts are available at the right time, technicians stay productive and customers stay on the road. The Parts Manager brings together people, inventory, sales, and customer service to build a department that delivers results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department with a focus on profitability, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Hire, coach, develop, and lead Parts Counter, Warehouse, and Delivery team members.
  • Establish goals and monitor key performance indicators including sales, gross margin, inventory turns, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory levels, purchasing, cycle counts, and supplier relationships.
  • Develop strategies to reduce excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining strong parts availability.
  • Drive retail, wholesale, fleet, and internal parts sales.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, fleets, vendors, and business partners.
  • Partner closely with Service to ensure technicians have the parts needed to complete repairs efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins, increase sales, and grow market share.
  • Use dealership systems and business data to monitor performance and make informed decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, inventory controls, and company standards.

These responsibilities reflect the role’s combination of operational leadership, team management, sales growth, inventory control, and cross-functional partnership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of parts department management experience in automotive, heavy truck, or a related commercial vehicle dealership.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a Parts team.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, components, and OEM requirements.
  • Understanding of inventory management, forecasting, margins, and department profitability.
  • Comfortable using dealership management systems and parts technology.
  • Ability to make decisions using both operational experience and data.
  • Effective communication with customers, vendors, employees, and other departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Heavy-duty commercial truck dealership, fleet account, wholesale parts, logistics, supply chain, or procurement experience is especially valuable.
