Parts Driver

About the role

The role involves managing and executing the retrieval and delivery of parts to and from local vendors and suppliers to meet the needs of production and maintain the supply chain. The successful candidate will ensure safe, accurate, timely, damage-free, and cost-efficient material flow while demonstrating a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Review manifests and parts lists for accuracy and prioritize the daily schedule
• Perform loading, driving, and unloading of items between Singer sites and vendors/suppliers
• Safely load parts/items at pickup points and transport them to the destination in accordance with motor vehicle laws
• Affirm the load contents are secure for safe and undamaged delivery to the destination
• Scan bar codes to properly record inventory location and delivery timing to meet supply chain requirements
• Review all delivery documentation to ensure the correct items are retrieved and delivered to the precise delivery location providing timely updates on delivery times
• Maintain all applicable documents (paperwork) related to items being delivered to ensure they are not damaged during delivery
• Inspect the vehicle, daily, to ensure it is safe and ready to use

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum three (3) years as a California licensed driver and a valid Class C license
• Maintain an overall driving record free from major violations in the past three (3) years

Pay

The starting pay range for this position is between $21-25/hr plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

The home base for this role is Carson, CA. The schedule is Monday – Friday 5am - 1:30pm with potential overtime.
