About the role
The ideal candidate is reliable, self-starting, able to multi-task, and has delivery driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of grooming, shaven, and uniform appearance
- Provide courteous and efficient service to all parts customers
- Drive in a safe and courteous manner
- Utilize dispatch software for all deliveries
- Write up all returns for credits daily
- Receive cores and warranty parts for credits daily
- Assist in housekeeping of parts department daily
- Inspect shipments for damage and quantity daily
- Perform other duties and tasks as directed by management
- Ensure all invoices are signed and/or payment is received before parts are given to customers
- Inform management of any customer complaints daily
- Tie down and secure any loose freight before starting deliveries
- Check all invoices against supplied manifests to verify parts for current route
- Mark all parts with ID tags if necessary
- Deliver all receipts, cash, checks, and credits to dispatcher at the end of every run
- Report to the dispatcher at the beginning and end of every run for route assignment
- Place truck keys in the key box at the end of the day
- Obtain and return gas cards with receipts on the same day
- Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors
- Check with the dispatch clerk before leaving for last-minute pick-ups or deliveries
- Unload truck each night and turn in all paperwork to the dispatch clerk
- Handle basic maintenance of the truck, including fueling, checking oil, cleaning, and ensuring inspections are up to date
- Advises dispatch clerk if delivery truck needs repairs or maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and Chauffeur’s License required
- Ability to obtain Medical Examiner’s Certification within 30 days of hire

Essential Duties
- Regularly required to: Stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
- Occasionally required to: Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more than 100 pounds
- Regularly exposed to: Toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to: Wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and explosives
- Work Environment: Noise level is usually moderate
