Parts Driver

About the role

The Parts Driver at Peterbilt of Atlanta has front line responsibility for customer interaction related to safe and efficient delivery of parts to customers and pick-up from vendors. This includes loading parts delivery vehicles, checking each load to ensure 100% complete and accurate order fulfillment, performing safety checks on delivery vehicles, obeying all traffic laws and driving defensively, professionally representing Peterbilt of Atlanta at customer locations in appearance, attitude, and communication, and accurately recording information through signatures on delivery paperwork, returned goods paperwork (RGM's), etc.

Responsibilities

• Load parts delivery vehicles
• Check each load to ensure 100% complete and accurate order fulfillment
• Perform safety checks on delivery vehicles
• Owe all traffic laws and drive defensively
• Professionally represent Peterbilt of Atlanta at customer locations in appearance, attitude, and communication
• Accurately record information through signatures on delivery paperwork, returned goods paperwork (RGM's), etc.
• Collect COD checks and credit card payments, with phone-in verification

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record meeting Peterbilt of Atlanta's criteria
• Commercial Driver Medical Certification is required
• Ability to use computer and calculator
• Will be trained on parts department's computer inventory system
• Ability to drive and operate a fork-lift safely
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts
• Professional personal appearance and dress
• Mandatory smartphone capability for downloading, installing, and reliably operating company-issued mobile applications
